This project is a fully animated 3D character sequence featuring the Mad Hatter, created from concept through final render. Built in Blender, the piece explores stylized motion, layered visual effects, and atmospheric storytelling through animation, lighting, and simulation work.

The animation includes custom character modeling, rigging, and motion design, along with integrated visual effects such as smoke transitions and layered compositing. Every element was developed as part of a complete end-to-end production workflow.

This piece represents a major milestone in my character animation pipeline and ongoing development in cinematic 3D storytelling.

Project Scope

The scene centers around the Mad Hatter, floating in a black void illuminated by LED-style digital patterns behind him, creating a strong, graphic silhouette. He delicately lifts a cup of tea, pausing to take in its aroma before turning toward the viewer.

He then presents three holographic playing cards, each revealing a character:

  • White Rabbit

  • Queen of Hearts

  • The Caterpillar

The Caterpillar closes the sequence by inhaling from his hookah and releasing a stream of smoke.

Purpose

This project is designed to showcase my character modeling and design capabilities.

The Mad Hatter will be fully rigged using Rigify in Blender, while the supporting characters will feature limited, intentional movement to support the overall presentation.
